Waivers for PLC Languages
Penn students with proof of proficiency in a PLC language may request to waive the language requirement. Acceptable documentation includes a high school transcript, International Baccalaureate scores, A or O levels, or other official certificate. In addition, PLC language instructors may request an oral proficiency interview at their discretion. Students who cannot provide documentation may take a proficiency exam to fulfill the language requirement instead.
