Agnieszka Dziedzic

Agnieszka Dziedzic was born and raised in Poland. She received her M.Ed. at the University of Białystok, Poland. She has been an instructor in Polish for over 20 years at various sites, including Temple University, Holy Family University, and St. Adalbert Polish Language School. Agnieszka joined the Penn Language Center’s faculty in 2013. She has been interested in assessment-driven, reverse-designed language pedagogy, and new technologies for teaching foreign languages. She participated in the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation project “Transforming Language Instruction at the University of Chicago and Beyond: Collaborative Curricula and Professional Development.” As a result of the trainings received through that project at the University of Chicago and a grant from the Penn Language Center, she developed proficiency tests in Polish and designed the curricula for the Polish language courses. She has obtained a Certificate in Instructional Technologies and Online Learning from the Penn Language Center and has been applying this knowledge to her courses and is interested in pursuing this further. She is an advisor to the Penn Polish Club. Her personal interests include going to classical concerts, operas, museums, trying new restaurants, travelling and learning about different cultures.
