Ksenia Power is a native of Kyiv, Ukraine, where she completed her K-12 education. She received her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Akron (Akron, Ohio) in Communications, where she also played Division I tennis. She then obtained a Master’s degree at The University of Akron in Physical Education, Sport Science and Coaching. For her master’s thesis, Dr. Power examined the effects of coaching behaviors, intrinsic motivation, and scholarship status on NCAA Division I tennis players’ sport commitment. Further, Dr. Power completed her PhD at Temple University majoring in Kinesiology (concentration: Psychology of Human Movement), where she also instructed Kinesiology courses for undergraduate students. Her dissertation focused on eating disorders, compulsive exercise, and body image in collegiate athletes. Dr. Power also served as a Volunteer Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Temple University.
