Sreeparna is a linguist with a research focus in phonetics and phonology, specializing in speech production, perception, prosody, and psycholinguistics. She is a native speaker of two Indian languages, Bengali and Hindi, and most of her recent research projects have focused on experimental investigations of several theoretical issues in relation to speech production and perception in Bengali. Her ongoing and future research projects include speech production and perception studies on Hindi and Bengali, particularly in relation to heritage speakers of the two languages.
