GREAT POLES: Czesław Miłosz
JOIN US FOR A POLISH CULTURAL EVENT
DEVOTED TO CZESŁAW MILOSZ,
ONE OF THE GREATEST POETS OF THE 20TH CENTURY
AND A WINNER OF THE NOBEL PRIZE FOR LITERATURE IN 1980.
GUEST SPEAKERS
Katarzyna Newcomer, a Polish poet,
Mark Klus, a former student of Miłosz,
Peter Krok, a poet and the editor of the Schuylkill Valley Journal, and
Elizabeth Leo, who recently published an essay about Miłosz,
will share their knowledge and personal experiences about Czesław Miłosz.
Students from the Heritage Speakers class and the Elementary Polish class at UPenn will read their translation of the poem “Kołysanka.”
